Dear macs Users, Partners and Friends,
two years ago we organised the first of our Client and Partner Days at the SI-Centre in Stuttgart.We were pleasantly surprised by the number of participants indicating a keen interest in the progress of macs by both Clients and Partners.
We take this opportunity to invite you to the next Client Day on the 23. April 2009. The Partner Day will be held the day before this.
Based on the positive feedback from prior events, we keep the same format of proceedings – our friends and colleagues will be taken through developments at macs and highlights from the previous year. Areas of specific focus will be:
- The new version development
- The new support concept
- The planned set up of a macs usergroup
The intervals will be long enough for users to meet other users and discuss experiences on a first hand basis
Both conferences will take place in Frankfurt this year. The central location and ease of accessibility of Frankfurt make this an ideal location.
We very much hope that, in despite of the current economic climate, we will be able to host a large number of Clients and Partner. Controlling is always a focal issue, even more so in times like these.

Great news that has just come to light – in the most recent publication of the BI Guide by the Business Application Research Center (BARC), macs was given the highest rating of all software in the controlling environment. The BARC is an independent software market analysis and IT consulting company and does regular case studies on various software tools.

1.1 New Clients
Further new clients were gained in the period under review:
 Doncasters Precision Castings, Bochum, Germany

The Doncasters Group Ltd is a leading engineering group focusing on precision components and parts. Inustries serviced include aviation, gas turbines, automotive suppliers and the pretro chemicals industry.
Manufacturing sites are situated in the UK, Europe, USA, China and Mexico employing around 6.300 people.

Via macs Austria
Amari is an assembler of customised aluminium products – prototypes, machinery and tooling parts and systems belong to the product portfolio of this Austrian company. Production plants are located in Austria and Eastern Europe.
 PAN Tiefkühlprodukte GmbH, I-Leifers
Via Partner: pro4bt - provider for business tools, Bozen, Italy
PAN produces a host of deep frozen specialty foods, mainly containing apples. Frozen Apple Strudel is their most well known product. Other products include a host of confectionary and savoury strudels
Several new clients in the utilities and municipal works were gained via a strategic partnership with Schleupen AG in Germany. Schleupen is an IT consulting company focusing on municipalities, water and electricity companies and have over 2000 clients in Germany

2. Product news
2.1. Barc BI-Guide
As an independant Institute reviewing Business Applicatin tools, BARC offers software comparison studies, hosts Seminars and aims for transparency and comparibility in the software world as to which products offer which services.
BARC is strictly neutral in this process and accepts no payments for reviews. Neither does BARC implement or receive share of licence revenues to remove any conflict of interest.
Macs receives very good reviews in the BI-Guide 2008/2009(PdF) and is placed above any competitors in the controlling environment.
2.2 Microsoft Partner
 Macs was able to maintain its status as a Microsoft Certified Partner.
This status was extended by 2 years Through the ISV/Software
Solutions Competence Program.
Lionbridge did the evaluation of the software with various criteria
and requirements to pass. Client referances were also taken into account.
